Viva Palestina Malaysia sponsored the jerseys for Alsadaq Sports Club in Gaza who won a match recently in a national tournament under the authority of Palestinian association football with Asian Association football ( the champion will represent Palestine).

Alsadaq sporting club , one of the top sporting clubs in Gaza, was established 40 years ago and has won many championships and prizes in volleyball, soccer, table tennis and swimming for both people with and without disabilities. The club are champions for volleyball for players with physical disabilities ( 8 players out of 12 lost their legs from Israeli attacks )and in last 10 years they won 14 cups.

Sadly this year they couldn't provide the players with the minimum needs of training suits, jerseys and shoes due to the financial crisis in Gaza. Recently we met Dr Said Ghora of Rowad Society whom we have worked with on many projects in Gaza, and as past president of the Alsadaq Sporting club he appealed to us for a small amount of funds to sponsor the sports jerseys.

Alhamdulillah, all the slaughtering processes were completed on the 1st & 2nd of Eidul Adha. We wish to thank each and everyone of you for your support of our campaign.

Please note that those who have donated as SADAQAH for the amount of RM10, RM15, RM20, RM50 and others throughout this campaign period, your sadaqah have been converted to ONE (1) WHOLE COW and FIVE (5) SHEEP.

Alhamdulillah we managed to make 1st round of payments for Qurban 2019, and these are the cows and sheep selected & purchased in a farm in Gaza, Palestine today.

You may still contribute to our Qurban campaign which ends on 5 August 2019. We will be making next fund transfer on the 6 August, insya'Allah.

The world is a mess but we can't forget Gaza.

Viva Palestina MalaysiaProject No. (07/2019) - Vegetables and chicken Baskets for poor families in Gaza Strip. Grant amount: USD 6000. No. of Beneficiaries: 240 poor families in AlWustah district ,Gaza Strip.

Rationale: Helps people in cooking their lunch which is the main meal for the poor. When we provide for them chicken and vegetables, we enable them to cook and eat, also by adding two chickens, we help them get protein.(Some people in Gaza eat chicken only once a month or every 3 months. )

And this veg and chicken basket is made up of Gaza produce which helps the local farmers and economy.

Viva Palestina Malaysia (VPM) has been helping Palestinian refugees in Syria since 2015 through milk and medicines and winter clothes. Last week together with doctors from the Palestinian Red Crescent we held our 9th clinic week serving over 1,000 people including infants, children, and the elderly seeking treatment and medicines.

We want to hold another clinic and milk distribution next month so please donate ANY AMOUNT if you can.

Insha Allah medical staff at the Public Aid society will do 50 surgical operation for 50 children from poor families in Gaza Strip. They are starting today by doing 8 operations./p>

This afternoon Azra Banu and I met Khaled Abu Samra of AlKhayriah Charitable Association for Palestinian Relief. Viva Palestina Malaysia worked with them to carry out our 8th medical clinic week near Yarmouk camp in Syria . Yarmouk was a bustling Palestinian community but is now destroyed and the people displaced to surrounding areas like Yalda. During the clinic week 775 people benefited from doctor's consultations and medicines were dispensed alhamdulillah. Please donate and help us do more.

Initial report on our QURBAN 2018.

We managed to raise a total of 5 COWS and 66 SHEEP for Gaza and 1 COW for Syria for our Qurban campaign this year.

All the 5 Cows were slaughtered in Gaza, Palestine and the Qurbani meat are being distributed to about 1250 eligible families in Gaza. Each family has been allocated 1kg of Qurbani meat.

Meanwhile, majority of the 66 SHEEP have been slaughtered as of yesterday. The meat will be frozen and will be ready to be sent to Gaza for distribution soonest possible. Each Qurbani meat recipient family is expected to receive 3 kilograms of the Sheep parts.

We are preparing for Qurban project 2018 in Gaza Strip. Your support means many families who don't normally have eat meat will be able to eat and enjoy it with their families at Eid Al Adha.

Today we met again with brother Khaled Abu Samra of the Charitable Association for Palestinian Relief who had flown in from Damascus, Syria. We have been doing mobile clinics and baby milk projects in Syria on a regular basis with them, however we could not continue til now due to the intense fighting at Yarmouk camp, once home to the biggest community of Palestinian refugees in Syria. It is now completely destroyed and under government control and the residents have moved to other areas like Yalda and Qudsiyya . We will resume the projects inshaa Allah starting with the Qurban of a cow and organising a mobile clinic soon.
